Annual Church Fair

On Saturday, December 6, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can shop locally for unique, handmade gifts, and the kids can have fun having breakfast with Santa, making ornaments and gingerbread houses. It is Christmas Fair time at the Church of Christ Congregational Chapel, on the Village Green. There will be homemade hot lunch, bake sale, beeswax candles, Tiffany window cards, fair trade products for missions, hand knit items, jewelry, and more. Breakfast with Santa On Saturday, December 6, the Norfolk Fire Department’s annual Santa breakfast will be held at Battell Chapel, on the Village Green, 7 to 11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, bacon and home fries and if you can move after that, you can have your picture taken with Santa. An added bonus will be raffle prizes.

Norfolk’s Natural Resources

Photographs depicting our area’s natural resources will be the subject of the art exhibition held at the library, December through January. There will be an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 7. Norfolk Historical Society The annual general meeting of the Historical Society will be held on Sunday, December 7 at Battell Chapel, on the Village Green, at 1 p.m. The program will recognize Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with Norfolk Veteran, John Morgan, recalling his experiences on that fateful day. Visiting Santa Claus Santa can arrive at your home on Christmas Eve, riding a fire truck and bearing a special gift, courtesy of the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department. Each gift requires a donation of $10. For details, e-mail norfolkfiredept@sbcglobal.net Here Come the Drums On Saturday, December 27 at 1 p.m. the library will hold its annual holiday family program and the walls will be resounding to the sounds of Taikoza, a Japanese drumming group. Botelle School Fund-Raiser

Time After Time, a consignment boutique, is offering a fun opportunity to help the 6th grade class raise funds for their year-end activities. The shop will make appointments for donations by telephone or in person. All items accepted will be clearly marked to identify them as 6th grade items. 85% of all items sold will go to the 6th grade class and will remain the property of the 6th grade. Families and anyone who would like to support this fund-raiser should call Time After Time, 542-0041 (hours Thurs-Sat 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sun 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), or Dina Shaw, 542-5038 for guidelines on donations. The shop is located behind 41 Maple Avenue in Norfolk.
