Botelle PTO Election Day Bake Sale
The Botelle PTO will be holding their annual Election Day bake sale at Town Hall on Tuesday, November 3 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Come vote early and pick up some homemade pies, fresh baked cookies and many more yummy treats.
The Guild Revisited
The second annual Guild Revisited show and sale of artwork and handmade items will be held November 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the home and studio of Eve and John Thew, 215 Ashpohtag Road in Norfolk. An eclectic display by former members of the Norfolk Artisans Guild will include sculpture, clothing, jewelry, home decor, toys and Christmas items. Refreshments will be provided. Veteran’s Day Sing Along and Luncheon
Botelle School will be hosting its annual Veteran’s Day sing along on November 12 at 10:00 a.m. in the Botelle School’s Hall of Flags. This event is open to any military person past or present. The PTO will be serving lunch after the assembly. Join the children of Botelle School in thanking our military men and women for their service.
Special Holiday Extravaganza
The Norfolk Farmers Market is hosting two indoor markets on November 14 and December 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Battell Chapel. Great local breads, cheeses, jams, meats and one-of-a-kind hand-crafted gifts will be available for sale. Come do your holiday shopping and support local enterprises at the same time! Homemade Pies for Thanksgiving
The Church of Christ Congregational will be taking orders and selling freshly baked apple and pumpkin pies at the Farmers Market on November 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pies will be made with all natural, fresh pumpkins and apples from Mead Farm. Luke Fleming at the Library
Mr. Fleming, a recent fellow at the Norfolk Festival, and a rising young star in the viola world will give a recital at the Norfolk Library on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Fleming has won several prestigious awards for his solo and chamber music performances, and has participated in numerous national and international music festivals. He gave his New York debut to a sold-out crowd in Alice Tully Hall last spring. Linda Bell will accompany him on the piano.
Swearing-In Ceremony
There will be a swearing-in ceremony at Town Hall for all newly elected town officials on Sunday, November 15 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow. All are welcome.
Learn to Cook Class
Join us Tuesday, November 17 at 6 p.m. at the Church of Christ Congregational to learn some new vegetarian and vegan dishes to cook for your family and friends. Led by Eileen Fitzgibbons, a certified health counselor, the class will be both a demonstration and a tasting of delicious, healthy foods. Annual Tree Lighting and Sing Along
Come on down to the Village Green on November 28 at 6:00 p.m. while one lucky Botelle student lights the Christmas tree with Santa Claus. Mr. Claus will also be handing out candy canes with assistance from the Norfolk Fire Department. Doughnuts and hot cocoa will be available. The Norfolk Library will be hosting its annual carol sing along, following the tree lighting. Homemade cookies and punch will be served.
Retirement Party for Anne Moses
In recognition of over 40 years of dedicated public service by our Town Clerk, Anne Moses, all are invited to join in a celebration of her retirement on Sunday, November 29 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Old Newgate Coon Club on Colebrook Road.
