Drivers Need to Slow Down
I would like to applaud Rosanna Trestman’s excellent article in “View From The Green” in the recent October issue of Norfolk Now. Not only did she cite our new town successes, but she also drew attention to our terrific parking problem and the many dangers created by this dilemma. Personally, I think we are just waiting for a terrible disaster to happen when an innocent local driver is trying to exit from Station Place onto Route 44, especially if there is a truck parked in front of the Pub and the driver cannot see a safe way to pull out. The posted speed limits are obviously not slowing down the drivers, the blinking light at the curve above the Corner Store is equally worrisome and our only crosswalk is in front of the library. Where are our traffic cones? We certainly cannot expect Greg Naylor to do all of our work for us. –Barbara Gridley
