Party Bridge
Fireside Fridays at Norfolk Library will feature Party Bridge from 2 to 4 p.m. on Fridays from February 1 through March 29. Contact Sally Estock at sallyestock@gmail.com to reserve a spot.
Norfolk Library Film Series
A documentary film screening will be held on March 4 titled “Gerhard Richter Painting” and on March 11, “Sweet Dreams.” Both films will be shown at 7 p.m. at the library.
The Friday Adventure Series continues at 7 p.m. on March 8 with “Spoil” and on March 22 with “In the Shadow of the Moon.”
Grants Available for Summer Studies
March 15 is the deadline for applications to the Simple Gifts Fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. This fund awards grants to young people ages 8 through 21 for participation in cultural or creative summer programs, such as theater internships, music or art camps, or language immersion programs. Residents of Berkshire, Columbia, northeast Dutchess and northwest Litchfield counties may apply.The application form and guidelines are available online at www.berkshiretaconic.org/grantseekers.
Forest Lyceum Series:
The next lecture in the Forest Lyceum Series, sponsored by Great Mountain Forest (GMF), will be held on Saturday, March 2 at the Norfolk Library. “George Perkins March, Pioneer Conservationist will be presented by Tim Maguire of the National Park Service. A reception will be held at 4 p.m., followed by a reception at 4:30 p.m.
On March 30, GMF will present a lecture by Mark Prezorski, Landscape Curator at Olana Partnership in Hudson, N.Y., titled, “Olana on a Timeline: Design, Art and the Environment.”

Fun and Fitness Session
The Catholic Women’s Club of the Immaculate Conception Church will hold an hour of fun and fitness with Robyn Centrella and her eclectic music on Monday, March 11 from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Centrella is certified in Pilates and is certified by the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA). The program will combine stretching, strengthening and joint mobility. A prize will be awarded to the youngest teenager and the oldest person attending. There is no charge for the program, which will be held in Klauer Hall at 4 North Street, but a free will offering will be accepted.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner
A corned beef dinner in honor of St. Patrick’s Day will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Klauer Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. Sponsored by the Catholic Men’s Club of the Immaculate Conception Church, the meal is $10 for adults and $6 for children.
Lions Club Chicken Dinner
On Saturday, March 9, the Norfolk Lions Club will hold a Chicken Dinner at Botelle School. The event will be held at ___ p.m. at Botelle School. Adults $10, Seniors $8 and Children under 12 $5.
