Library Director Luisa Sabin-Kildiss is still testing newly arrived digital equipment that includes a sophisticated video camera and new Apple laptops with cutting edge editing and image creation software. It is all part of a new technology package for in-house use that includes a second kids’ catalog computer, four iPads with apps and digital content, five Kindle e-readers and specialty headphones plus a tripod to go with the video camera. Sabin-Kildiss, who is not intimidated by any of the latest technology, hopes these new offerings will attract more teenagers and much younger students to the library.
