Norfolk Conservation Commission to Offer Ornamental Plant Exchange

Once again, the Conservation Commission is offering a free native plant to residents who take out an invasive ornamental. Bring proof of removal to the Farmers Market on June 15, and pick out a lovely native shrub to replace it. The invasive species we are looking to replace are winged euonymus (burning bush), autumn olive, Russian olive, Japanese honeysuckle, Japanese barberry and buckthorn. Each participant is limited to one plant. First come, first served (while supplies last).

The Norfolk Conservation Commission was formed in February 2009. Members are Shelley Harms, Chair, John Anderson, Vice Chair, Adair Mali, Secretary, Libby Borden, Elizabeth Potter, Molly Ackerly and Nash Pradhan.
