Big Plant Sale
The Berkshire Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society will hold its annual sale of rare and unusual plants on Saturday, September 7 at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, 5 W. Stockbridge Rd., Stockbridge MA.

Senior Exercise For Norfolk Residents
The free, low-impact exercise program sponsored by the Norfolk Recreation Department will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10 in the Meadowbrook Community Room. September Art Opening at Norfolk Library
Mark Liebergall, an abstract painter, will exhibit his work at the Norfolk Library from September 8 to October 2. Opening reception on Sunday, September 8 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Lobsters To Benefit Lions
A Lions Club lobster sale will be held on Saturday, September 28 at the Norfolk Lions Club Ambulance Building on Shepard Road. Cooked lobsters are $15 each. Pick-up time will be between 3 and 5 p.m. Tickets can be obtained in advance from members of the Lions Club or by calling 860-542-5298.

Vegetable Garden Symposium
A full-day symposium will be held on Saturday, September 28 by the UConn Extension-Litchfield County, 855 University Drive, Torrington. The morning session from 10 a.m. to noon will focus on kitchen garden design. The afternoon session from 1 to 3 p.m. will address food preservation and safe canning practices. Bring your own lunch. Public Forum on Health
The Connecticut Department of Public Health is developing a plan to help Conn. Residents become healthier by 2020.
