The Norfolk Lions Club Ambulance is offering CPR and First Aid training, free for Norfolk residents, at the ambulance building, 7 Shepard Road.

Nature Journaling at Great Mountain Forest

Dinners at Church of Christ
October 11, 6:30 p.m. Dinner and slideshow celebrating this past summer’s mission trip to Boston. Free for those who purchased shares in support of the trip, but all others are welcomed and encouraged to bring a donation toward next summer’s Kenya trip. PTO Tag Sale/Flea Market October 19

Project Graduation Silent Auction October 19

Meadowbrook Is Accepting Rental Applications
There are several vacancies at the Meadowbrook Apartments, Norfolk’s Senior Housing facility. Rent for a studio starts at $539, and for a 1-bedroom $608, including heat, electricity and a parking spot. Qualifying for an apartment is income-based. Bootelle Spooktacular!
The annual Halloween party for children will be Friday, October 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Hall of Flags. Admission and activities are free. Treats will be available for purchase.
Halloween Candy Needed
Maple Avenue is the place to be for trick-or-treating on Halloween, October 31. The road will be closed from 5-7 p.m. Please donate candy for the good residents of that street, as they cheerfully bear this burden year after year. Candy can be dropped off at Botelle School or the Corner Store.

NVFD T-shirts Go On Sale
The Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department will be honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month during the month of October by selling limited edition, pink T-shirts complete with the department’s logo. For this inaugural event, the members of the NVFD decided to honor the memory of Laverne Barbagallo, mother of department member Jonathan Barbagallo, and will donate all proceeds from the sale of the shirts to the Laverne Barbagallo Scholarship which is overseen by the Norfolk Children’s Foundation. T-shirts will be available in child and adult sizes and cost $12 each.
