Holiday Farmers Market a Success
The holiday farmers market in early December featured a first-ever Bernadette’s Bookshelf where local authors offered patrons an opportunity for a meet and greet. Participating local authors included John Funchion, Tony Thomson, Gail Blanke, Jim Cusick and cookbook authors Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough (pictured above). The market also featured holiday bereads and panettone from Berkshire Mountain Bakery;
knitted items, ties and candles from Broad Field Farm; artisan teas and metaphysical art from Chi for Healing; sauerkraut, kimchi and tempeh from Hosta Hill; honey, wreaths and locally raised beef from Ford Farm; maple syrup from Mead Farm; goat cheese, cheese plates and cutting boards from Lost Ruby farm; pies and scones from 4 & 20 Blackbirds; and artwork, cards and Norfolk-themed items from Rosemary Gill . . . just to name a few of the over 30 contributors. The market was such a success that there will be another winter farmers market on Saturday, February 8.
