Matthew O’Connell has been named the new principal of Botelle School, replacing Peter Michelsen, who resigned to take a position in the Farmington school system. O’Connell served as an administrator in the Winsted schools for the past seven years, and prior to that he taught for 14 years in Plainville and Simsbury. A public meet-and-greet for the new principal will be held on August 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Botelle.
