Colebrook Store to Reopen

By Ruth Melville

Jodi Marinelli has signed a lease with the Colebrook Preservation Society to reopen the Colebrook Store, which closed last March. Marinelli, who has been working at the Riverton General Store, hopes to reopen the store in December.

Marinelli has a lot of experience in the food business. Her family has run a restaurant in Burlington, Conn., for almost 40 years, and she herself has worked at several different delis. Sje has always wanted to operate a store herself, so when Marinelli heard the Colebrook people were looking for a new manager, she decided to apply. She plans to offer coffee, breakfast sandwiches and lunch, and to stock basic grocery needs.

Marinelli is already hard at work clearing out and cleaning the 200-year-old building. She, her two daughters, and her fiancé will live in the apartment above the store.
