Lecture on Resilience to Climate Change
As the climate changes, species can be expected to relocate, with fauna and flora migrating at different rates. Some will survive the disruption, others not. Identifying places that will sustain a large variety of species despite changing climate, a characteristic known as “resilience,” has been a priority of conservationists in recent years.
The Norfolk Land Trust will host a talk in conjunction with the Open Spaces Institute on “Climate Resilience for Biodiversity: New Science on Places to Protect and What Land Trusts Can Do About It” on January 24, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at the Norfolk Curling Club. More information is available on the land trust’s website, www.norfolklandtrust.org.
