Farmers Market Plows on Through Winter Months
Thriving from May to October for eight years strong, the Norfolk Farmers Market now has a winter presence as well. Moving inside, to the second floor of town hall, for the cold weather months, food vendors sell their products twice a month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Winter markets will be held on February 14, February 28, March 14, March 28, April 11 and April 25. The regular weekly outdoor markets begin again on May 16.
Due to space constraints, the winter market can only accommodate 13 vendors, but the list includes many favorites: Berkshire Mountain Bakery, Cream Hill Veal, Giv Coffee, Gourmavian Farms, Grassy Knoll Farm, Hillhome Country Products, Howling Flats Farms, Krazy for Kazu’s, Lone Silo Farm, Lost Ruby Farm and Sugar Water Farm. The vast majority of these food vendors welcome pre-ordering. Further information on that can be found at www.norfolkfarmersmarket.org.
The 2015 Friends of Market pins are now available and can be picked up from Manager Theresa Cannavo at the table just inside the entrance to town hall during winter market hours. In case of bad weather, go to the farmers market web site or their Facebook page for cancellation notices.
