Norfolk Land Trust to Host Program for National Moth Week

Have you ever seen a pale green luna moth or a hummingbird moth? Ever wonder why they are attracted to light? Did you know that not all moths hang out at night or that some are important pollinators? Save up your questions and bring your family to Moth Night, Wednesday, July 22, at 8:30 p.m. at the Norfolk Library, sponsored by the Norfolk Land Trust. Entomologist Brigette Zacharczenko from the University of Connecticut will lead a brief program at the library and then move to the town green to attract moths by shining bright lights on a white sheet. Interested in being a citizen scientist?
