Classic Community Vintage Vehicle Show Rides Into Town
Station Place will be alive with an air of bygone days when the Third Annual Classic Community Vintage Vehicle Show rolls into town on September 27. This year, the event will feature not only antique and vintage cars but all types of vintage vehicles, including trucks, motorcycles and boats.
Each year, the Economic Development Commission organizes the car show to bring the community together to support the town’s emergency services volunteers. This year’s beneficiaries will be the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department and the Norfolk Lions Club Ambulance.
With the support of local businesses, the event draws people to the town’s center for a day of fun with a silent auction, a raffle and the participation of many local organizations,, including the members of Norfolk’s Boy Scout troop, who will be offering popcorn and water. A disc jockey will be on hand to provide music of the 1960’s and 1970’s for the festivities, which run from noon to 4 p.m.
“The Car Show is just one more way for us to show support by raising money for our greatly needed emergency service volunteers,” says Marie Lowe, who organized the show.
There will be a judging of the vehicles, and the name of the Best in Show winner will be added to the trophy that is on display year round at National Iron Bank.
For more information or to obtain a registration form, contact Marie Lowe at 860-307-1487 or marie@mi-mss.com It’s not too late to include your car or boat in the competition.
