Bevan Ramsay’s Sculptures on the Move
After giving plenty of people pause at the Norfolk Artists & Friends exhibit this summer, Bevan Ramsay’s haunting sculptures of homeless people in New York City moved on to Canada in September. Dramatically presented in a gallery at Art Mur in Montreal, the exhibition, entitled “Lesser Gods,” was on view from September 10 to October 31. Ramsay spent hours getting to know the four men and one woman he ultimately carved in the same marble used at the New York Public Library. They will soon be moving on to another gallery in Montreal, Complexe les Ailes, in January.
