Summer is upon us, and it’s time to get your stickers for the Transfer Station and Tobey Pond, and to register your dogs.
Tobey Pond will officially open Monday, June 6. Stickers must be purchased and applied to the lower right hand corner of your windshield. Prices are as follows: $50 per vehicle, $35 for seniors (over 65) per vehicle and $65 for an inn, B&B or religious organization. Transfer Station stickers are $55 for the first vehicle and $35 for the second vehicle.
Your dog must be registered with the Town Clerk, $8 if your dog has been spayed and you provide the proper paperwork, $19 if your dog is not spayed.
With the problems that have been occurring with the Motor Vehicle Department’s computer conversion, if you don’t receive a motor vehicle tax bill from the Town of Norfolk or you receive one from another town, please contact the Tax Collector at 860-542-5140 or fax the tax bill to 860-542-5876. Do not ignore this. If you do, you will not be able to register your car.
The Board of Finance has set the date for the public hearing on the town budget for Wednesday June 8 at 7 p.m. in the Botelle School Hall of Flags.
