Whiskey Jack’s Music to Rock Station Place During Weekend in Norfolk
Save the Date! The lively music of Whiskey Jack’s String Band will fill the air and probably get people dancing on Station Place in Norfolk, Conn., the afternoon of August 7 during Weekend in Norfolk. Sponsored by Infinity Music Hall, the trio is Molly Peterson, Andy Lundeen and Ryan Williams using guitar, banjo, mandolin and clarinet to perform traditional Appalachian ballads, folk songs and bluegrass tunes mixed in with original material. At the Norfolk Farmers Market recently they had the audience enthralled.
Weekend in Norfolk, August 5, 6 and 7, is a three-day, town-wide art, music and nature festival. Events run the gamut from art exhibits to nature walks, world-class music to a watermelon-eating contest, a quilt show and boat-building demonstrations to the opportunity to get married on the Village Green, and new events are still being added. Visit weekendinnorfolk.org for details.
