Confucians Hold a Community Picnic

On Sunday, August 21, the Confucian Study Association invited the town to a picnic to introduce themselves to the Norfolk community. All the food, which was vegetarian and delicious, was prepared by the members, many of whom had come up from New Jersey for the occasion. The weather was perfect, and the hosts and a small group of guests, mostly nearby neighbors, sat chatting at picnic tables set up behind the old Pupin mansion. Under the supervision of Craig Chung, who organized the picnic, the Confucians are starting to fix up the grounds of their property on Westside Road. The Confucian Study Association is a newly formed organization, which in March took over the 48-acre property from the previous owners, the Mission of Tao Confucianism.
