The Town of Norfolk has a new animal control officer, Lauren Foley. We are sharing her with North Canaan. She can be reached by calling 860-824-7796 or 860-921-1372.

A reminder that there is no parking on the street during a snowstorm. Please park your vehicles out of the way of the snowplows. Our town ordinances give us the right to tow your car; you will be responsible for all towing charges and a $100 fine. Parking at Town Hall is available during snowstorms.

The transfer station will close promptly at noon on Saturday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 31. The transfer station will be open on Tuesday, Dec. 27 and again on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

There is a new face in the assessor’s office, Erin Hurlburt. She will be assisting Michele Sloane.

Hunting and fishing licenses for 2017 will be available in the town clerk’s office beginning in December.
