Farmers Market on July 28 To Feature Crafts

Norfolk’s next farmers market on Saturday, July 28 will add locally made crafts to its array of native agricultural products. Customers can expect to find socks, sweaters and other items made from local llama and sheep wools, jewelry and an array of other goods produced by artisans from the area.

The August 25 and September 30 markets will return to the traditional offerings, including vegetables, fruits, cheese and milk, jams and jellies, bread and other baked goods, honey, herbs, syrup, eggs and perennials.

Markets will be held on Route 44 at the corner of Shepard Road. If construction of the proposed ambulance building requires a move, the village green is the alternate site.

Artisans and farmers interested in becoming vendors should contact market manager Lisa Auclair at 542-5044. Community tables are also available to be shared by individuals with a surplus from their home gardens, and for community organizations. Call Auclair for information.
