By the time the October issue of Norfolk Now is published, the sidewalks around the Village Green will be complete. Pilbin-Jones did a very good job on the installation and we must thank the Norfolk Community Associates, Peter Mulville, Carl Gabelmann, George Dyer, Jim Stotler and Bill Driscoll for all their assistance in seeing the job through.
Our Resident Trooper, Greg Naylor, would like to let everyone know that if you are a victim of any sort of criminal activity, please do not hesitate in contacting Troop B if he is not on duty. He will take over any investigation that is reported to Troop B from Norfolk.
Household Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday, October 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Torrington Water Pollution Control Plant on Bogue Road. You must sign up in the Selectmen’s Office for your entrance slip. You can either stop in or call 542-5829.
Connecticut Resource and Recovery is sponsoring an electronics disposal day on Saturday, October 27t from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. also at the Torrington Water Pollution Control Plant. This is the time to rid yourselves of all your unwanted electronic devices.
P & Z, as part of the upcoming Town Plan is having a meeting called “Proud and Sorry,” with the planner, Glenn Chalder. This is your chance to let Mr. Chalder know what makes you proud or sorry about Norfolk. The meeting will be held on Saturday, October 20t at Botelle School from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
