Tara Yard of Norfolk was convicted in Litchfield Superior Court of larceny in the first degree, a class B felony. On March 29, she was sentenced to eight years of jail, suspended, and five years of probation. Yard, an assistant secretary in the Norfolk Selectmen’s Office, will retain her position at Town Hall.
