Christopher Little to exhibit work at the Norfolk Library
Christopher Little’s August show at the Norfolk Library, named High and The Mighty, showcases a collection of photographs made in the last year. “High” presents color images of familiar village scenes. The photographs are aerials and are rendered in the miniature style—think model railroad. “The Mighty,” in black and white, depicts friends and neighbors photographed in the Hollywood glamour-style of the 1930s and 1940s. Little, who worked as a photojournalist for many years, credits his inspiration to George Hurrell (1904-1992), the former MGM studio photographer who went on to shoot iconic images as a freelancer. Please join us for the opening reception on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m., hosted by the Library Associates.
