Poll Workers Make It Happen

Thank you! to all the people at Town Hall, especially Linda Perkins, our town clerk, and our registrars of voters, Phylis Bernard and Dee Perron, who worked so hard to make the election work so smoothly and safely, both for those who voted absentee and those who voted in person. Huge thanks also to everyone who stepped up to volunteer to work the polls. It was really inspiring to see the way many younger people pitched in, maybe taking part for the very first time in this essential work. I hope this will be a lasting trend.

Successful Soctober

Thank you so much for participating in the Botelle School 5th grade’s Socktober sock drive. With your help, we were able to collect a new record of 1,310 pairs of socks! After a class vote, we have decided to donate the socks to Hands of Grace Emergency Assistance in New Hartford and Friends in Service to Humanity in Torrington.

A huge thank you to the local establishments that helped out and displayed our sock donation boxes, including the Berkshire Country Store, Town Hall, National Iron Bank, Norfolk Hub, St. Martin of Tours, Litchfield Hills Mobile Vet Clinic, Norfolk Early Learning Center, Norfolk Post Office, Norfolk Now, Second Congregational Church of Winsted and CT GI.

We hope you will look for our boxes and participate again next October!
