Letter to the Editor

It is with great sadness that we announce that the Kenny Funeral Homes, Maple Avenue, Norfolk, will be closing its doors after 30 years of business.  It has been a true pleasure to serve the families of Norfolk and beyond during their times of loss.  The Kenny Funeral Homes has been in business since 1914 and has a second location in Sharon, Conn.  Our Sharon location will remain open.  The funeral home will not be sold as a business, but rather as a residential building.  

While this decision was difficult, we are beginning to see fewer families wanting to utilize the funeral home and rather have services at their local church or at a location that served as a sentimental place for their loved one.  We are still able and happy to serve the Norfolk and surrounding community in our Sharon location.  We offer services from full traditional, green burial, cremation and beyond.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our funeral home directly at 860-364-5709.
