In a story about the Black River Valley Protection Alliance (BRVPA) and its opposition to an asphalt plant in East Canaan, it was stated that The Coalition for Sound Growth of Norfolk acted as a fiscal sponsor for BRVPA to enable tax deductible contributions. BRVPA’s recently approved status as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit entity will now allow tax deductible contributions from donors, eliminating the need for CSG as fiscal sponsor.
