Legal Update in Norfolk Assault Case
By Avice Meehan
The man accused in the June 30 attack on a Norfolk woman remains in custody on $450,000 bail following a September appearance in Litchfield County Court. His next court appearance is Nov. 16.
Jason Heath, 20, of Winsted is represented by Corrie Mainville, the public defender for the Litchfield Judicial District. She has met with Heath and said that, given the seriousness of the charges, the case will take some time to resolve.
Heath is charged with multiple felonies, including attempted rape and strangulation. He was arrested shortly after the incident, which occurred in the vicinity of Winchester Road, by officers of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Connecticut State Police from Troop B.
