Mountainside Treatment Center Receives State Commendation

In February, the State of Connecticut honored Mountainside Treatment Center in Canaan for its 25 years of providing innovative care in helping individuals recover from alcohol and drug addiction. Governor Ned Lamont visited the center to present the official commendation letter. Since it was founded in 1998, the center has helped over 20,000 people and has expanded its offerings to include family wellness, continuing care, alumni support, medical and psychiatric services and medication-assisted treatment. To celebrate its anniversary year, Mountainside will host a series of free community events to educate individuals on practices for healthier, more mindful living.
