Norfolk Rails to Trails Committee Receives State Award
On June 2, at the Hammonasset Beach State Park, the Connecticut Greenways Council presented a Greenways Award to the Norfolk Rails to Trails committee, for their work as “an outstanding volunteer organization working together to develop the Norfolk Mountain Express Accessible Greenway.” The R2T committee has been selected to receive $399,725 for the design and construction of the North Brook Trail, on the north side of Haystack Mountain State Park, with the goal of making it a multi-use, fully accessible trail.
