Children and adults alike beat the heat last month with a slide in the “snow” in East Canaan. Each August, the North Canaan Fire Company sprays a soapy “snowfall” on a hill at Lone Oak Campsites to celebrate the campground’s Christmas in August weekend. The weatherman is never wrong in predicting snowfall during that week.
