Activities at the Norfolk Hub
Hub Art Reception – Sunday, Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Women Connect – Join us for a gathering of women, conversation, and connection on Thursday, Dec. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.. Guest Speaker, Rebecca Hart: “One Year After Dobbs, How New England is Impacted by the Fall of Roe v. Wade.” Please bring a drink or snack to share. Registration appreciated.

Hub Holiday Cheer – Friday, Dec. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by for a warm drink and festive treats.

Art Exhibit: Hans Heuberger
Recent watercolors and relief prints by Hans Heuberger will be on display at the Norfolk Library for the month of December. Born in Basel, Switzerland, Heuberger worked for a multi-national company as a professional civil engineer before retiring to southwestern Massachusetts. Join us for a reception for the artist on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Classic Crawford Film Series at the Library

Mindfulness Series with Miranda Lee
Mindfulness practitioner Miranda Lee continues her mindfulness classes in December with the theme “The Gift of Presence” In January, Miranda’s theme is Exploring the World with Fresh New Eyes. Sponsored by the library, this course is offered via Zoom from 9:15 to 10 a.m. on Fridays. Anyone can join at any time. Hand-painted Holiday Cards with Leslie Watkins
Kick off the holiday season by the cozy fire at the Norfolk Library on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. with Leslie Watkins. You’ll make beautiful holiday note cards and gift tags using stamped images, no drawing required. Registration is appreciated @ www.norfolklibrary.org or by calling 860-542-5075 ext. 2.

Poetry Café at the Library
Join us for our mid-month Poetry Café in the Great Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. Bring a poem to read, either one you’ve read or written, and come ready to listen to and enjoy poetry. Stories with Stuffies
Babies, toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join Miss Eileen for story hour and play group at the library on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m., now through Dec. 12.

Children’s Film Festival Seattle at the Library
During vacation week, two prize-winning series of short films will be shown at the Norfolk Library. On Wednesday, Dec. 27 and Thursday, Dec. 28, at 4 p.m., enjoy a wide variety of animated and live action favorite films from across the globe that will delight young and old alike. Library Associates Anniversary Party
Please join us on Jan. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m.. as we kick off the 50th anniversary year of the Library Associates with a festive party in the Great Hall, featuring the music of the Grantville Dawgs playing songs from the five decades. We are very excited to celebrate this remarkable organization that has done so much for the library!

Evening of Scottish Music and Merriment with Andrew Thomson
Join us at the Norfolk Library for our next Music Among Neighbors series featuring Andrew Thomson and Ken Storrs in a program of Scottish music and merriment on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 4 pm. Classes for Seniors
The Norfolk Recreation Department offers many options for senior classes in Norfolk. Wendy Larson leads a Chair Yoga class at Meadowbrook on Monday mornings as well as her ongoing Tuesday and Thursday yoga classes from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at Battell Chapel. Also on Tuesday mornings at Meadowbrook, Robin Centrella teaches a gentle movement class using chairs and props. All classes are open to Norfolk residents and are designed for students to work at their own pace.
