win sails through bad weather

Sue Frisch, who leads the Weekend in Norfolk Committee, reported that the atypical weather that bedeviled the ninth annual town-wide celebration, did not dampen the spirits of those who participated. Frisch said the hosts of many events, including the Norfolk Historical Society, reported healthy attendance. Many of the music performances were driven inside, as was Sidewalk Sunday. The Norfolk Library Knitters, who ran a yarn sale to benefit the Food Pantry, reported lively sales—particularly from neighboring Winsted. The sale generated $560 in sales and contributions.
