Justine Ickes to Exhibit at Library
Contemporary art by Justine Ickes will be on display at the Norfolk Library during the month of May. A Torrington resident, Justine creates nature-inspired art that brings people a sense of joy and lightness. Please join us at a reception for the artist on Sunday, May 4, from 4 to 6 p.m., hosted by the Library Associates.
Hoopskirts to Flappers in Colebrook
The Colebrook Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m., at the Town Hall Meeting Room at 562 Colebrook Road in Colebrook Center. After the (brief) business portion of the meeting there will be a special presentation – “Hoopskirts to Flappers: Connecticut Fashion, 1860’s – 1930’s”. Following the presentation will be a social hour with refreshments. All are most welcome to attend.
Mindfulness Series with Miranda Lee

Ensemble Aubade in Concert
On Saturday, May 17, at 5:30 p.m., Ensemble Aubade (Peter H. Bloom, flute/alto flute; Francis Grimes, viola; Steven Sussman, piano) will perform Mozart, Madame Farrenc, and More at the Norfolk Library. The acclaimed trio, touring out of Boston MA, will provide an exhilarating tour of chamber music from the salons of Vienna and Paris to the concert halls of New York. Bring your little ones to the Norfolk Library on Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. through May 28 for a fun-filled half hour of stories, music, and connection.
