Sidewalk Sunday
Join us on Sunday, Aug. 3, on Station Place from 1 to 5 p.m. for a sidewalk filled with Norfolk artists, authors and organizations showcasing their talents! It’s Weekend in Norfolk’s new event, Sidewalk Sunday, with live music and special finds for everyone to enjoy.
Terra String Quartet at the New Marlborough Meeting House
The award-winning Terra String Quartet will appear at the Meeting House in New Marlborough, Mass., at 4:30 pm on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025. The program will consist of music by Haydn, Borodin and Brahms. The Meeting House is located at 54 Hartsville-New Marlborough Rd. Ted Byers Conservation Lecture
The Annual Ted Byers Conservation Lecture at Doolittle Lake will take place on Aug. 16 in the Clubhouse at 528 Doolittle Drive at 4 p.m. This year’s topic is “Hydrilla.” It’s free and open to the public with a wine and cheese reception afterwards.
Outdoor Worship at Haystack Park Pond

Learn Forest Management & Identification
Great Mountain Forest is offering a three-day Forest Management Intensive on Aug. 1, Aug. 15 and Sept. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will gain skill in tree and shrub identification, forest management, ecological processes and forest stewardship. Matsiko World Orphan Choir
Welcome the Matsiko World Orphan Choir from Liberia and Peru to Norfolk on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 4 p.m. This group is on their annual U.S. tour to raise awareness for the urgent needs of children in countries served by their non-profit International Children’s Network. West African Dance Workshop for Children

Kids Garden Club

Anne Gill: My Grandfather’s Stories

Mike Cobb & Friends
On Sunday, Aug. 31, Mike Cobb & Friends will be performing live in Battell Chapel. This fundraiser concert will focus on supporting immigrants and refugees in our area. Turi Rostad Art Exhibit
Recent work by Norfolk artist Turi Rostad will be on display throughout the month of August at Norfolk Library. Turi is a contemporary artist whose work is energetic and spontaneous. A reception for the artist will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the library.
Books & Boots Junior at Barbour Woods
