The Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department has been doing its best this winter to create skating ice at the town rink on Mountain Road, next to the ball field. Weather permitting, both the fire department and the Norfolk Curling Club are planning to hold events at the rink for Winter WIN in late February. Unfortunately, there has been an ongoing problem with vandalism. Some people, presumably teenagers, have been driving their vehicles on the ice, and making it difficult to keep it in good shape. The state police have been notified to keep an eye on the area overnight.
