Weekend in Norfolk has an information center at the Hub during its summer and winter festivals. The volunteers who staff it are called WINbassadors because they act as Norfolk’s friendly face. The visitors who come in are not only looking to find out what’s happening during the festival and how to find events but also interested in the town, its history and the best places to explore.
WIN needs WINbassadors for this coming summer’s festival, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 5, 6 and 7. If the weather is nice there will be a table outside, with the air-conditioned Hub, restrooms and a kitchen within easy reach. Too hot? Too cold? Too windy? The Hub can accommodate. Maps, event lists and other printed materials are supplied for handing out to visitors, and the committee does its best to make everything easy and pleasant. Time slots are normally two hours, usually running from mid-morning to late afternoon depending on the events, with two WINbassadors scheduled for each.

All friendly Norfolkians are invited to volunteer a couple of hours to make visitors welcome to our town during Weekend in Norfolk.
