Congratulations to All “Little Mermaid” Performers

Letters

It was great to see the article about Botelle Elementary School’s performance of “The Little Mermaid” in last month’s edition. The school is such a large part of our community that it is always a pleasure to see articles about the students, faculty and parents.

However, I was surprised and disappointed at the lack of information in the article. I wish the reporter had mentioned the wonderful singing by the Sea Chorus of Parker Bracken, Alexander Garcia, Elana Hunt, Gabriela Ongaro and Evie Whitaker; or the enjoyable performances by Ruby Alexander, Belle Bracken, Kayleigh-Raine Hagarty, Chloe Keyes, Ella Levesque and Lila Weaving as the Princesses. And what about the hilarious antics of Vincent Bascetta and Forest Layton as Flotsam and Jetsam, and Ayden Gomez as Flounder, Landon Nadeau as Scuttle and Reid Nadeau as Sebastian? Also worth mentioning were the enjoyable performances by Anna Fiester as King Triton and Harrison Bennett as Grimsby. But the most surprising omission was the performances by the charismatic Rex Crippen as Prince Eric and the Little Mermaid herself, Gudrid Johnson, whose beautiful voice brought cheers from the audience.

All these children put in a lot of hard work to give the town of Norfolk a wonderful performance to enjoy. They all deserve credit.
