Longtime photographer Jennifer Almquist will display her first public show at the Norfolk Library this month. Almquist, a Norfolk resident, has worked as a freelance photographer for over 40 years. After studying photography at NYU, she studied filmmaking at the Sundance Film Institute and was the former owner of the Almquist Gallery in New Preston, Conn. Her photography captures a range of subjects from portraits to landscape to object still lifes. Almquist was the photographer for Pete Seeger’s Grammy Award-winning album “Pete.” Her show, “Jennifer Almquist: Recent Photographs,” will be on display at the Norfolk Library from Feb. 3 to 28, with a public reception, hosted by the Library Associates, on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 4 to 6 p.m.
