Hong Kong’s Loss is Norfolk’s Gain

Longtime Norfolk resident Bella Erder returned from Hong Kong last year and is bringing back her popular store, Aija for the month of August. Opening day is planned for Aug. 2, the first day of Weekend in Norfolk.

Residents will recall the signature scent of Aija upon entering the new store and will be reminded of the beautiful Asian-inspired jewelry and accessories it offers. Erder will also be showcasing home accessories, with a focus on affordable and unusual. “I have waiting lines for Ann Taintor napkins,” she says.

Textiles are a specialty of Aija, with a special emphasis on beautifully crafted scarves and shawls curated by Erder to express her personality and style. “I find enjoyment in color and design,” she says.

From Aug. 1 through Labor Day, Aija will be open for business in the space formerly occupied by the Artisans’ Guild in the Royal Arcanum building.  Hours will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
