Carla Francesca Parachini Exhibit at Library
The work of Colebrook’s Carla Francesca Parachini will be exhibited at the Norfolk Library during the month of March. The exhibit “Reflections” will include paintings on canvas, glass and ironstone plates, as well as botanical mixed media. A reception for the artist will be held on Sunday, March 2, from 4-6 p.m., hosted by the Library Associates.

Expressions in Art Show at the Hub
Norfolk Artists & Friends will host a benefit art exhibition from March 2 to April 10 at the Norfolk Hub gallery space. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the work of Norfolk Rails 2 Trails. The opening reception will be held Sunday, March 2, from 3-5 p.m., at 2 Station Place.

Kids Bingo Nights at the Hub
The Norfolk Hub invites kids for a fun night of Bingo on Thursday, March 6 and March 20, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Each Bingo player should bring one candy bar/treat per game. Mindfulness Series with Miranda Lee

“Never Too Late to be Great” Art Workshop
Artist Hilary VanWright will facilitate a visual art workshop series at the Norfolk Library on Thursday, March 6, 20 and 27, at 5:30 p.m. “Never Too Late to Be Great: Women in the Visual Arts” will highlight the lives of Alma Thomas, Carmen Herrera and Kay Sekimachi, three women whose artistic careers bloomed well into their 80s. The Hub Celebrates Norfolk’s Women
The Hub invites women in Norfolk to share a brief write-up about the boards, businesses, clubs, initiatives or projects they are involved in for inclusion in a display to celebrate International Women’s Day, Saturday, March 8. Communication Workshop with Ed Thorney
On Monday, March 10, from 5:30-6:45 p.m., at the Norfolk Library, a workshop for adults will be facilitated by Ed Thorney, Gestalt therapist and founder of Wilderness Therapy and Mentoring. Pre-Kindergarten Screening
Botelle School will conduct its pre-kindergarten screening for the 2025-26 school year on Tuesday, March 18, from 1:15-2 p.m., at the school. All Norfolk children born on or before Sept. 1, 2021, are eligible to attend this screening. Coffee Talk on Tourism Marketing
The Norfolk Hub will host a conversation with Rachel Lenda, director of the Connecticut Office of Tourism, on Tuesday, March 18, from 9-10 a.m. The discussion will focus on the topic “Marketing Like a Pro: Strategies for Attracting Tourists.”

A Bit O’ the Irish at the Library
On Saturday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m., the Norfolk Library will present a lively evening of traditional Irish music and fare. A band of internationally recognized Irish musicians, including guitarists and singer-songwriters Eamon O’Leary and Jefferson Hamer, Brenda Castles on concertina, Ivan Goff on pipes and vocalist and fiddler Liz Hanley will perform. Documentary Film: Uprooting Addiction
On Sunday, March 23, from 4-6 p.m., UCC Norfolk will host the screening of “Uprooting Addiction,” a locally-produced film about trauma, addiction and recovery. A panel discussion will follow the screening at Battell Chapel and refreshments will be served.

Screening of “Top Hat & Tales”
On Friday, March 28, at 7 p.m., the Norfolk Library will screen the documentary film “Top Hat and Tales: Harold Ross and the Making of The New Yorker” about the history of the magazine, celebrating its centennial this year. Narrated by Stanley Tucci, the film includes interviews with The New Yorker writers and editors, past and present. Producer/director Adam Van Doren will introduce the film. Invasive Asian Jumping Worms
Annise Dobson, a Yale University research scientist, will discuss Asian Jumping worms—their impact, ecology and management—on Wednesday, March 26, from 5-6:30 p.m., at the Norfolk Hub. This invasive species poses a serious threat to forest ecosystems, gardens and food crops. Sponsored by the Norfolk Conservation Commission, the program will be held live and on Zoom.
