Letters

This past winter, a mysterious stuffed reindeer appeared at our [River Place] bridge construction site. Over the following months, it was lovingly dressed for St. Patrick’s Day—earning the name “Lucky”—and later for Easter, complete with bunny ears. We soon discovered that this bit of seasonal cheer was the work of neighbors Jude and Thomas Warner.
Lucky quickly became more than just a decoration—he was promoted to our honorary foreman. With photos to prove it, he’s kept watch over the site from the excavator and brought a lot of laughs and warmth to our crew along the way.
As the project comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks not only to the Warners, but to everyone in the neighborhood. Your patience, kindness and good humor during the months of noise and inconvenience have not gone unnoticed.
This letter comes solely from us, the crew on the ground, as a way to say thank you. It’s been our honor to help restore your bridge and be part of this community, even for a short time.
With gratitude,
The Bridge Crew on River Place
