Babs Perkins to Exhibit at the Library
Photographs by Babs Perkins will be on display at the Norfolk Library during July. Waterlines is the second/third series in her larger Moving Landscapes / In Limine body of work. In Limine means ‘on the threshold’ and these images are just that. They are on the threshold of time (day or night) and place (the edge of the continent/country/land/sea). They are also on the threshold of what we think we know as a photograph. The technique removes specific location identifiers, allowing the viewer to absorb or feel as much as to see the presented landscape. The Library Associates will host a reception for the artist on Sunday, July 6, from 4 to 6 p.m.
