Botelle’s Got Talent

Talent_IMG_8557twogirls72dpiThe stars were out on the Botelle stage on Friday night, May 21, for the Botelle PTO’s first annual talent show. The show ran about 90 minutes and featured a total of 19 acts. Four student emcees announced the performers and provided color throughout the evening.

Students showcased a wide array of talents, including song and dance numbers, poetry reading, instrumental music, a golfing demonstration and stand-up comedy. A group of first graders presented a puppet show using puppets they made and following a script they wrote. The one adult act of the evening, “Head Cases,” featured seven teachers and staff members in bobble-head masks performing a choreographed dance to a pop music medley.

The show was organized by parents Ann DeCerbo and Agnes Dzenutis, with expert sound and microphone support by parent Jon Barbagallo.

DeCerbo commented: “We were just thrilled with the show, and so proud of our performers for getting out there and doing such a great job. Getting up on stage takes a lot of poise and courage. The kids were amazing and the teacher act brought down the house. We are hopeful that the show will become an annual tradition!”
