Norfolk Library Hosts N.H. Artist with Long Ties to Norfolk
Painting in oils on board, a technique virtually unchanged since the Renaissance, Jane Gold makes “small, very detailed” still lifes and portraits, 26 of which will be on view at the Norfolk Library during the month of May. Two of the portrait subjects are Norfolk residents, and a motif from one of the Tiffany windows in Battell Chapel can be found in a painting that includes a Chinese blue-and-white urn and books on a shelf. The opening reception is on Sunday, May 6 from 4 to 6 p.m.
