Norfolk Conservation Commission Clears Invasives at Buttermilk Falls
The Norfolk Conservation Commission encourages private landowners to remove invasive plants on their properties. In the meantime, the commission is steadily working to remove invasive plants on town properties. In June, the NCC focused on the Buttermilk Falls park on Route 44, taking out dozens of burning bush euonymus and hundreds of Norway maple saplings. Some of the plants were so large they had to be professionally removed, paid for in large part by a grant from the Norfolk Community Association.
