Bhakti Jackson Joins Staff of Norfolk Now
Takes Sue Frisch’s place as subscriptions manager

Bhakti (“Buk”) Jackson has volunteered to take over as Norfolk Now’s subscriptions manager, a position first created over three years ago by Sue Frisch, who is stepping down.
Jackson, a Norfolk resident, grew up in Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1989 with a B.Sc. in Engineering. She was employed by IBM for five years upon graduation and then went to work for Hewlett Packard for another five year stint. More recently, Jackson obtained her realtor’s license and is currently working with Locust Lane Realty.
She and her husband, James, discovered Norfolk six years ago when a realtor suggested they look at a piece of land for sale on Laurel Way Extension. They had no ties to the community and didn’t know a soul in Litchfield County, but they fell in love with the property and the town of Norfolk and decided to build a house here. They share their new home with two daughters, Jordan (9) and Julie (7), and a German Shepard named Greta.
Buk Jackson adds Norfolk Now to a long list of volunteer efforts. She’s actively involved with Botelle School, where her daughters are both enrolled, the Church of Christ Congregational and Battell Stoeckel Associates. She also does web site development, but has pared down her client list to make more time for her recent work as a real estate agent.
