TOWN GOVERNMENT

Selectmen meet at the Town Hall, first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.

Wetlands Agency meets at the Town Hall, the first Monday of the month at 7:30 pm.

Planning & Zoning meets at Town Hall, the second Tuesday of the month  at 7:30 p.m.

Board of Finance meets at Town Hall, the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Regional Board of Education meets the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the library at Regional #7 High School.

Economic Development Commission meets at Town hall on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.

Recreation Department meets the fourth Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

Norfolk Sewer District meets the third Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall.

 

COMMUNITY GROUPS

Aton Forest will host it’s 5th Annual Open House on October 20 with a hike from 10-12 p.m. and a reception from 12-4 p.m. at Aton Headquarters, 270 North Colebrook Road, Norfolk.

The Norfolk Historical Museum will host the exhibit, “Glimpses of Norfolk” on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 4 p.m. through Columbus Day. Opening day on June 2 at 4 p.m.

A Lasagna Dinner will be held by the Norfolk Democratic Town Committee on October 13 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at Botelle School. Advanced ticket purchases are available from town committee members. Adults/$12, seniors and children /$7.

Women’s open night basketball will take place Monday evening from 7-8:45 p.m. at the Botelle School gym. All skill levels welcome. For more information please contact Sarah Kasacek at 542-5849.

Preschool playgroup on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at Battell Chapel for preschoolers and their caregivers.

Norfolk Library

Writers Workshop on October 1 at 5 p.m. with Michael Dobos.

Library Association’s  regular meeting on October 2 at 12 noon.

Art Reception for Nina Ritson on October 7 from 4-6 p.m.

The Library will be closed on October 8 in observance of Columbus Day.

Shakespeare’s Sonnets on October 13 at 4 p.m. led by Jim Kraft:

Writer’s Workshop on October 15 with Michael Dobos.

Concert: Julee Glaub and Mark Weems, Appalachian Music, on October 20 at 5 p.m.

Miracles of the Mind, teen night pizza and music on October 23 at 5:30 p.m.

Corner Club, Magic Beyond Imagination, on October 24 at 3:20 p.m.

Documentary Serie, Racing Against the Clock, on October 26 at 7 p.m.

Botelle School

PTO meets on October 3 at 7 p.m.

October 8, no school, Columbus Day.

Board Of Education meets on October 10 at 7 p.m.

Bookfair from October 15-19 in the Hall of Flags.

Life Touch is hosting picture day on October 22.

Good News Assembly for the fifth grade on October 26.
