The Junior Pee Wee Torrington Warriors are the division state champions. The team had a convincing win over the Southington Knights, 18-0, at Falcon Field in Meriden. Norfolk’s Mickey Ross had an interception return for a touchdown and Seth Dayton had two touchdowns. Mickey Ross of Norfolk is 11 plays quarterback and cornerback, and is in 6th grade at Botelle. Seth Dayton is 12 plays running back safety and returns kicks. He is in 7th grade at Regional 7. Norfolk’s Marco Travaglini is 10 plays wide receiver and cornerback and is in 5th grade at Botelle. The boys have made a huge contribution to the Torrington-based team, which has only 16 players. Pat Finn is head coach and Mick Ross Sr. of Norfolk is an assistant coach, along with Scott Marinelli.
