Bobcat Sighting Near Bigelow Pond

On Friday morning, April 10, the hirsute beast pictured here strutted slowly across a
grassy hill near Bigelow Pond, nose close to ground that had been populated with turkeys
only hours earlier. The sun was shining warmly over the field, and the cat, wriggling its
stubby tail as it walked, appeared to be relishing the seasonable spring weather. Then
again, it may simply have been wondering where all those gobblers had gone.  It
reappeared again four days later, and our camera captured the sphinx.
